IDAHOBIT 2022 saw multiple AngloGoldAshanti locations activate, by combining morning teas with online fundraising, and a business dollar-matching campaign.

In setting out to mark IDAHOBIT 2022, AngloGoldAshanti recognised that being spread out across multiple locations – none of which had any cash on the premises – meant that they needed to find a new approach to encourage donations and engagement.

The AngloGoldAshanti team combined an online fundraising page with morning teas across their various sites, wanting to track the impact of their donations in real time at their events, encouraging attendee buy-in, excitement and ownership of the fundraising target.

By displaying the fundraising total (and how much had been donated) live at their events, everyone there could see how close they were getting to their target – and impact. To make even greater impact, the business then committed to matching donations made by employees.
